PART 8 – THE MEETING BY CHANCE

-Who are you? – Hou Lei asked the strange lady.

-I’m not a friend, not an enemy. – She answered. – But you should go with me, this is not the place you should stay. He doesn’t mean to help you!

-How about you? – She laughed. – Not a friend? Not an enemy? How could I believe you?

-You should. Because when he wakes up, you won’t ever have another chance to get out of here. I think you’re enough smart to know that.

Then the lady brought out a little green gem, she held it in her hands and made some moves with it. She handed it to Hou Lei, it became a bracelet. After that, it suddenly auto-connected and gave it way on Hou Lei’s hand, forming two other chains to make a triangle bracelet, the gem got its place at the center of her wrist.

-This gem has a magical power, the disguise.  Only on the night with the pink moon, it will have the most powerful magic. You can make fool of anyone, even the powerful priest, with that disguise. But remember this, when the gem is broken, its power will lose forever and yourself will get hurt with the extreme power coming from the inside of the gem.

And then the lady went to another direction. Hou Lei still stood there, looked at the gem, and looked up to the sky. Suddenly, she remembered that was only three days more before the pink moon day. She needed to get hurry.

She moved more from the west, where West Land country was. She passed through a small city and decided to stay there for one night, she should improve her strength before making the magical match under the pink moon. That night, Hou Lei felt very strange, that liked something curious inside her body. She suddenly woke up and watched out the window, there were many Main Land soldiers, who wore armor liked the one had attacked Hou Ma tribe.

“Why did they get here? Is that the news I’m still alive known by Main Land people? And they want to kill me to finish their work?”, she thought.

Hou Lei secretly brought her things with her and left the motel in the midnight. She ran as fastest as she could. A man riding a horse stopped in front of her, Hou Lei was startled and got all the things on her hands dropped down.

-Oh sorry, lady. – The man said.

She did not answer him, kneed down to get her things back. The man got down off the horse and came closer to her place, he squatted down and collected the things with her. By chance, they collected the last thing together and their hands touched. Hou Lei looked up and saw his face, he was a very handsome man, maybe two or three years older than her. 

The man smiled and she… raised her hand up to slap on his face. “Chatttttt!!!!”, a very big sound and it left a pink sign of her five fingers on his left cheek. The man stood up, he still smiled with her.

-It’s not hurt, my beautiful lady.

-Your bastard, you want to take advance of me?

-Oh no, please don’t be like that, I didn’t mean to do bad things to you.

-So… get away from me, I need to go.

She stood up and wanted to run away from him. Unexpectedly, the soldiers walked in front of her face with fire and swords, they were looking for someone.
