MY EVIL PRINCESS: Chapter 2: Hou Lei’s plan starting

PART 12 – HOU LEI IN THE PALACE

Hou Lei got on the bed, she still thought about Xiao Liam, did he mean to be good to her? Or he helped her just because she was beautiful? His smile after receiving a slap from her appeared in her mind, he looked so handsome and that smile was too warm to avoid. And also, the warmness she had felt when he was hugging her, it made her want to trust him, want to follow him and want to listen to him more. “Oh, did I fall in love with him?”, she asked herself. “No way, I can’t love anyone now, it’s just the meet by chance, sure that I won’t meet him again!”. Keeping that mind, she fell asleep with a smile when thinking about him.

The next day, they reached the royal city, Hou Lei opened the window and looked people on the street. There were many people, much crowded than the West Land’s main city. People sold all the things having in this life, she felt really excited and wanted to get out of the horse wagon to explore the outside world; but she remembered who she was now, she needed to be as much royalty as she could.

The horse wagon passed through the huge door, the main door leading to the Palace, Hou Lei could not say anything, she just widened her eyes to look at how huge and beautiful it was. Then they passed the long long way with many soldiers lining up on the two sides. The main Palace was very large and monumental. The horse wagon stopped in front of stairs with hundreds of steps. The Soldier General got down his horse and opened the door blind:

-My Princess, we’re at the Palace, please come with me to meet the Emperor and the Queen!

Hou Lei got out of the wagon, she followed the General to go up the stairs. Upon the stairs, there were many buildings with magnificent decorations and top-of-top designed. She could not help but admire each time they passed a door, each room was different from the other. Then, they reached a large room, there were many maids in the room, at the higher level of the steps, there was a table with a middle-aged man and woman, they were wearing the precious clothes, Hou Lei guessed they are the Emperor and the Queen.

-My Emperor, My Queen. – The General made his greeting etiquette.

-Oh, My Emperor, My Queen. – She did her own greeting etiquette, but with a different way from the General. – I’m sorry that I don’t know the rite of greeting of the Main Land.

-Okay, stand up! – The Emperor said.

-She was just as good as people said. – The Queen talked to the Emperor. – So beautiful and knowing civility. I see that she will fit our Crown Prince.

-I think so. – The Emperor nodded. – But we need to choose a good day and prepare well for the wedding ceremony.

-Okay, Hou Lei, right? – The Queen asked her.

-You will go with the Leader of maids, we’ve already prepared for you a room, you firstly will stay at North Liam palace. – The Queen continued. – After the wedding, you will move to live with the Crown Prince in East Leong palace.

-Oh… - The Emperor surprised. – Why you let her stay at North Liam palace?

-Sorry, I forgot to tell you that the bride and the groom don’t allow to meet each other so often, that’s the reason I think she should stay at the North Palace. – She answered.

-Okay, it’s a good idea. – The Emperor agreed. – So at first, do as the Queen said.

-Thank you for your preparation. – Hou Lei greeted to goodbye them.

She was led through many buildings again, there was no same kind of building. She passed a beautiful garden before reaching a big door labeling “North Liam palace”. They had her into the palace and passed some more houses. In the end, they stopped in front of a big room.

-My Princess, this is your room. – The leader of the maids said. – And they are Ah Hu and Ah Lin, your maids from now on.

-My Princess! – The two maids greeted her.

-Oh, thank you. – Hou Lei looked at them, she had never had a maid before, this was too strange to her.

-We are right outside the door. If you need anything, just call us! – The maids closed the door and got out of her room.

Hou Lei walked around the room, it was almost bigger than her home in Hou Ma village, but there, she lived with her parents and her brother. Now in this large room, there was only her, alone. She brought out the things packed for her, there were many clothes that the West Land Queen had prepared for her, they are very colorful. -My Princess, could I get in, I bring the lunch for you! – The maid said.

The maid put the tray of dishes on the table.

-Normally, you will need to greet the Queen before having lunch, but the Queen said that you need to take a rest after a long trip, and she doesn’t need you to do so many greetings. – The maid said. – Oh, and I must remind you this, the Third Prince is an uneasy person, you should stay here, when you need to go outside, please call us to go with you. -Okay, he is the Third Prince of Main Land, and this palace is his? – Hou Lei sat on the chair, looked at the dishes and asked.

The maid got out of her room. Hou Lei tasted the food, they were delicious but not have the taste that she wanted, the food cooked by her mother. She now knew why people in the Palace always felt lonely, because they lived in a large room, separated from each other and they had to fight each other for the higher level they wanted.

“Wait a minute!”, she stopped her emotional thoughts, “How could I seduce the Prince when I am here until the wedding? That can’t be, although he will marry me, I need to seduce him for everything happening more smoothly. I don’t care much about that Third Prince, he can do whatever he wants, but surely, he can’t make me hurt or do any bad things to me.”

Hou Lei had her meal fast and then brought out the vial containing the seduction drug she had made for the Crown Prince. When the maids brought out her dishes, she secretly got out of the room. But Hou Lei forgot one thing that, the Palace was very large, and she did not know anything about it, she could not find the way to the palace of the Crown Prince. She walked around and around for a while, and almost forgot where was her room too.

She walked through a large garden and thought it was the same with the one she had met this morning with the leader of the maid. She ran around to find the huge door. After a while of losing her way, she felt tired. She thought she should find the maid to go with her, it would be easier to meet the Crown Prince. On the way back, she ran into a man…
