MY EVIL PRINCESS: Chapter 2: Hou Lei’s plan starting

PART 10 – THE DISGUISE

While the couple ran out of the door, the lady dropped something. Hou Lei waited for the door closed and looked around, she did not want to take any concern of other people. She came to the dropped thing place, it was a hairpin. She picked it up and thought it belonged to the beautiful lady.

Hou Lei stayed outside of the city for the rest of the day, waiting the night to come. In the late evening, the big door was opened for the businessmen coming out for their works. Using this chance, she got into the city. West Land’s main city was somehow different from the Main Land’s cities she had passed. The market was fewer people, and there were some goods sold to other people. Besides, the nightlife here was very peaceful, not much noise. She rented a room in a small motel, after getting into the room, she opened the window and looked outside. There was a group of people sitting around a large table, and an old man seemed to be central.

-Do you all know about the mess today? – The old man asked.

-I heard that our Princess ran away with her lover? – A woman answered.

-Yup. – He nodded. – But do you know what will affect us from her run away?

-Oh, no, tell us, Mr. Zhang! – They all said.

-Okay, maybe you heard about the extinction of the Hou Ma tribe. There was a mistake from the Emperor, he listened to bad bureaucrats that Hou Ma tribe wanted to come back to the Main Land and dreamt to destroy all human beings.

-How it could be? – Another man said. – Hou Ma tribe only had hundreds of people, how they could fight thousands of soldiers of the Main Land Empire?

-That’s the point. But the Emperor thought that Hou Ma tribe had magic, and they could use their magic to fight him. – The old man said. – So just with a small piece of information, the Emperor asked the West Soldier General to bring thousands of soldiers and some priests to destroy Hou Ma tribe.

-Will that be the same for us? – The woman asked.

-Maybe, it seemed like those people, who wanted to destroy Hou Ma tribe, wanted to destroy the West Land and Er tribe too. But the Hou Ma tribe had more precious things than us and Er tribe, they had the Hou Ma magical gem and the Book of Hou Ma tribe. Some people believe that with those two things, they can explore the secret of immortal medicines.

-I also heard about that, so Hou Ma tribe had to live in a forest with the Hou Dark Door to prevent the invasion from Main Land people. – Another man said.

-That’s it. They had the magic Door but they still couldn’t prevent their extinction. How about us? – The old man asked. – We only have four thousands of people without any magic like Hou Ma tribe or physical power like Er tribe.

-So we will be destroyed soon? – They started to worry.

-I used to advise our King to let our Princess marry the Crown Prince of the Main Land Emperor so there will be safer for us. – The old man continued. – But our King refused that, and maybe the Princess knew about that, so she ran away with her lover this afternoon.

-She is our last hope, but now we lose that. – The woman said. – How can she be so selfish like that? Only think about her happiness and let her country be in danger.

-That’s her choice, and I think we and our King will never forgive her for doing that. The point now is how we can get the Main Land Emperor comfortable so he won’t bring the soldiers to destroy us. – The old man said.

-Why do you get a crowd here? – Some soldiers walked to the table.

-We just talked about some jokes. – The old man answered.

-It’s late now, go to your home and sleep to prepare for tomorrow’s works. You’re wasting your time in some meaningless jokes. – The soldier said. – And be careful, I heard that Er tribe soldiers are finding someone, you shouldn’t go out of the city at night.

They broke up the conversation and came back to their home. Hou Lei closed the window, maybe she knew what she should do now. Tomorrow was the pink moon night, she would use its power to activate the gem that mysterious lady had given her, it would give her power to make a disguise, making people believe that Hou Lei was the Princess of the West Land. She would go to the Main Land Palace and marry the Crown Prince, after that, she would day by day be closer to the Emperor, and make him pay for what he had done for Hou Ma tribe.

Hou Lei used to think about she would directly kill the Emperor, but she would not have enough power to escape from thousands of soldiers and she might die in the battle. With that way, she could not make her promise to help to bring Hou Ma tribe back come true. Another thing, the Palace had built on the righteous land, where Hou magic would not have its most powerful or she could say, its power would be reduced much. However, she could sense the powerful magic of the green gem, she thought it might pass through the prevention of the Palace and help her remain her disguise.

Hou Lei now had nothing to lose more, she had no family, no tribe and no home. She only knew that she had to try her best in this revenge plan and she did not allow having any mistake. Every smallest mistake could lead her to be killed simply. She would use her Hou magic to seduce the Crown Prince, so even more, after killing the Emperor, she might destroy the Main Land Empire too.

The plan seemed to be good, but she needed to make it more detailed. How she could kill the Emperor and leave the Palace in safe? Might there be anyone who could break up her plan? Might there anyone such as the priests could know about her identity? However, Hou Lei thought the mysterious lady was very powerful so that the gem had enough power to help her pass the concern of the priests. She fell asleep between the questions.

Next day, Hou Lei took out the things she had brought out with her from Hou Ma village. There were some herbs she could use for the magical ritual, but she still needed some more. Hou Lei got out of the city, went to the forest to get the ingredients she wanted. In the forest, it took her a half day to find out the herbs, lucky for her, she got all the things.

At that night, while all the people were watching the pink moon, a rare natural event, only appeared in hundreds years period, Hou Lei prepared her magic ritual in the forest. A circle was made by pink roses, she stepped in the circle and dropped the other ingredients around the circle. She brought out the hairpins belonged to the Princess and put it on her hair.

“From the power of the Pink Moon, I, Hou Lei, the Princess of Hou Ma tribe, make this ritual to call out all of the power of darkness and lightness, to come here, with me, and make my demand come true. I call all the power of Hou Ma tribe, to come here, make it come true. Everyone from now on will know me as the Princess of the West Land, Hou Lei, not the Princess of Hou Ma tribe anymore. From the power of darkness, please make it come true.”

From the moon, the pink light shined straight to the circle of roses, Hou Lei was raised up by the power, the rose petals flew along with her. Winds started to blow stronger like there would be a storm coming. The circle shined a very bright pink light, the light that could blink anyone. People in the West Land and the Main Land, also, saw the moonlight brighter, they watched it as they’d never seen something beautiful like that. Then, there was a wave of light coming from Hou Lei’s circle, it spread fast through space to the cities of West Land and Main Land. People still kept watching the pink moon even, but they felt a little bit strange thing happening to them.

At that time, the Third Prince of Main Land Emperor, Xiao Liam, or better, should we call him, Wang Tian Liam, was also watching the pink moon. The wave of light came to him and passed through him without any effect like other people. He was standing from the high building of the Palace, and he looked at the direction to where Hou Lei was, he could not see as far as that, but he felt there was magic around. The ritual was finished, the wind stopped, and Hou Lei was got a faint, she fell down to the land and slept…
