PART 5 – WHERE DID SHE BEGIN?

The sun rose, and the sunlight started to shine everything in the forest, it reached to the walls of trees surrounding Hou Lei. She had stood in there for all night long and she only knew to cry. The walls slowly appeared and the boughs of trees returned to their normal sizes. She kneed down on her legs because she knew that everything was too late now, all people of the tribe might be killed. She remembered her mother and ran to find her.

More than an hour, Hou Lei only saw trees and grass, no signal of her mother and her family was found. She then returned to the village, on the way, she could not stop her tears, there were only Hou Ma people’s dead bodies. They had tried their best to fight the soldiers, but they had been no match to thousands of Main Land people. Suddenly, she saw her father body moving, she ran to his place.

-Father, are you still alive?

-No, my sweet. – He answered. – This is only the last of my soul, I used all of my Hou magic to keep it for meeting you the last time.

-Huh… - She cried. – So no one’s alive, it’s only me here in this large world, without knowing what to do! Father, please, stay with me!

-It’s fate. We can’t do anything, my girl. But there’s one way that you can help our Hou Ma tribe. You must find the Hou Ma gem and the Book of Hou Ma tribe, there will be a spell in there to help us. I can’t tell you which spell, you will naturally know it when you have it.

-If I can find that spell, I can save all people of Hou Ma tribe?

-I don’t even know, Hou Lei. But that is the most powerful spell, which can be used only with the present of Hou Ma gem. Now, I will transfer all the things I know about Hou Ma magic and the world outside for you.

-Father, please don’t leave me!

-My sweet, I and all the people of Hou Ma tribe are still here, waiting for you to rescue us! Just remember what I said, don’t believe in the Main Land men’s love.

Then Hou Hun held Hou Lei’s hands and their hands shined with a bright green light. Tears dropped unstop from her eyes. The light disappeared, her father’s body and other people started to evaporate into the air as pink powder.

Hou Lei still sat on the land for a while, she wiped her tears and stood up. She got into the houses in the village to find anything that could help her in the adventure to find back the Hou Ma gem and the Book of Hou Ma tribe. She found some medicines, some ingredients to make spells, some pieces of handmade things of tribe people left.

She looked around the village once more before taking a deep breath. Bringing with her the necessary things, she started her journey.

On another place…

-Miss Le Hu, you are so powerful in magic, but you don’t have physical strength, right? – A handsome man walked around Lei Hu being stuck with ropes.

-Er Wang, what do you want? Why you capture me? – She asked him.

-I don’t want to hurt you, my soon-to-be mother in law.

-Who is your mother? Hou Lei will never marry you!

-I know she will because you are now in my hands. How could she leave her mother to be abused and even more, how could she just run away from me day after day? Do you think she will be tired and it’s not good for a Princess like her?

-Your bastard!

Then he brought out a book.

-The Book of Hou Ma tribe? – Lei Hu surprised.

-Yup, I didn’t think I could have it easily like that. – He laughed.

-Give it back to me! You don’t know what it could do and you don’t have Hou magic.

-Of course, but Hou Lei has. She is predicted to be the most powerful person in Hou Ma tribe, right? And I can see a bright future with our children who will have both Hou magic and powerful physical strength. – He looked closer to Lei Hu.

Back to the forest, Hou Lei got through the Hou Dark Door and the first time, for 25 years of her life, she put a step out of the forest of Hou Ma tribe. Around where she stood is a large grass field with some small yellow flowers. The butterfly dances with the wind and light, one landed on her hand, she looked at it with a glistening sight. She had never seen a beautiful creature like this in the village. Everything seemed to be very new, very strange to her. She slowly stepped forward and looked at anything on the way. She reached a river, sat down on the bank, she looked at herself reflected on the surface of the water, then a stranger appeared beside her image.

-Who are you? – She looked back.

-Let me introduce myself, I’m Ziam Jun. – The man said to her.

-Ziam Jun? Uhrrr… - She looked at him carefully. – Is that you the Er Wang, the King of Er tribe?

-You can say that! – He laughed. – You surely are Hou Lei, the Princess of Hou Ma tribe?

-Yes, I am. But how you can find me?

-I heard that the Emperor of the Main Land brought soldiers to destroy Hou Ma Tribe. I went with many Er people but we couldn’t get through the Hou Dark Door. I had a belief that there would be someone alive after the battle, so I have been waiting here for some days. And finally, I’m right, I see you right here.

-Thank you! For your concern about Hou Ma tribe! I don’t know what to say, but I think I need to leave now, I have some works to do.

-Some works? – He surprised. – You’ll go out there alone? How do you think you can do that?

-I know it’s dangerous, but I must do that. I must find a way to make them get their payback and rescue the Hou Ma tribe.

-My Princess, you think it’s so easy. Nah, the Main Land people aren’t like us, they are addicted to money and power, they will do anything to get those two things.

-You’re right, that may be a good idea now. – She nodded to agree with him.
