PART 3 – THE MYSTERY OF THE HOU MA TRIBE

“Fast forward important message to the Emperor!”, one of the soldiers ran into the main building of the Palace, where the Emperor was reading the documents from his bureaucrats.

-What’s that? – The Emperor stopped reading.

-My Emperor, this is an important message from the West. – The soldier answered.

-Let me see.

One of the eunuchs came down to the soldier and took the letter for the Emperor. He opened the letter, stopped by some seconds.

“My Emperor, due to a trustworthy source, the Hou Ma tribe is preparing for war. They want to come back to the Main Land and dominate all of the human beings.”

-How dare they??? – The Emperor became less patient. – Ann kong kong, call the Soldier General to meet me immediately!

A few hours later…

-Hu Deng, any comments about this? – The Emperor asked.

-My Emperor, as I know, Hou Ma tribe still lives in the forest in the North West, and there is no sign that they want to come back to the Main Land. – The General answered.

-But this message is from the General who is protecting the North West. You are only here, how do you know well about that place?

-Yes, my highness, but Hou Ma tribe is expelled to the North West for more than 200 years. Even a thousand years or more, they still don’t have enough people and soldier to fight against us.

-They know Dark magic, Hu Deng. It’s more than 200 years, and we can’t know what they can do now.

-But we all know they’ve lost their Hou magical gem, without it, their magic isn’t a big problem for us.

-Of course, I know that. Besides the gem, do you know they still have the “Book of Hou tribe”?

-There is very little information about that book. No one has seen it or even saw it. As we can say, there is no clear info about that book.

-That’s the point. Maybe they have found out some powerful spells, or something like that in the book, and they have a successful trial.

-Maybe, anyway, if they are successful with that, they still need the Hou Dark Door to prevent us from invading them?

-No, no… They need time to prepare, so they must maintain the Door.

-So what exactly we need to do?

-Destroy them!

-Destroy? But how do we pass the Door?

-We will find out. I have called the old priest in the royal city, maybe he will have some information.

Then they moved to a secret room in the Palace where the old man waiting.

-My Highness, My General. – The old man bowed.

-Stand up and sit down to the table. We have an important thing to ask you. – The Emperor said.

-Thank you, My Highness.

-Do you know anything about the Book of Hou tribe? – The Soldier General asked.

-I have heard many stories about that book, no one in our Main Land have seen it, or just say, the one who could see it was not alive anymore. It’s been 200 years from the day Hou Ma tribe and Er tribe were expelled from the Main Land. I will tell you all the things I know, but I warn you that, don’t play with magic, it’s the thing we can only play with, we must pay a price for any magic.

“Thousand years ago, human beings and gifted human lived peacefully together. Hou Ma tribe, because of the development of their own tribe and helping other people, wrote down the Book of Hou tribe. That was the book including many important things, such as the medicine formulas to treat some hard sickness; the Hou magic with hypnosis, disguise, or how to control trees and animals; the use of Hou magical gem; and especially, some people said that there is a formula of the immortal medicine. But no one knows or even used to know.

Hou magic, somehow, is not good or bad, it’s up to the one who uses it. In the past, Hou tribe used Hou magic to hypnotize the sick people, to help them reduce the pain of sickness treatments, or help some old people to sleep better. Hou magic can predict the near future, but the accuracy of the prediction can’t be tested, because it is one of the most powerful magic, Hou tribe rarely uses it. One another, Hou magic can make a disguise, it doesn’t change the shape of the person who applies it, the magic just makes other people think he/she is another person. It’s also hard magic to practice.

The formula of the immortal medicine is the most mysterious thing. Some people believe that when using the Hou magical gem and the formula in the Book of Hou tribe, they can produce that medicine. No one knows if this is true, but people still sought off the Book and the gem through many years.”

-Is there anything about making their Hou magic more powerful, such as to fight with us? – The Emperor asked.

-Actually, I don’t know. – The old man laughed.- Because no one sees the book, we can’t know what exactly it contains.

“However, as the history documents said, there is no fight between Hou tribe and original human through the years. Just 200 years ago, a war happened because human beings believed that Hou Ma tribe and Er tribe wanted to ally to fight against human and to rule the world of gifted human.

In that war, Hou Ma tribe and Er tribe used all the things they have to fight against human to stay in the Main Land. However, they just used hypnosis and some weak magic, the Er tribe had the strength, but they can be hurt and died just like a human, all of them were expelled to the West, with severe weather, sand, a very little number of trees, and mountains.

The Hou Ma tribe moved into a forest and made the Hou Dark Door to prevent other people from getting into their place. Er tribe moved to live in the mountains to avoid human’s appearance.”

-Do you know how to break down the Hou Dark Door? – The Emperor continued.

“As people said, the Hou Dark Door can’t be seen by human eyes. Besides, it has the magic to make thunder into the person want to touch it and has a powerful strength to push them away, even, it can make them Nevertheless, the Door has a weak point, in the full moon night, it will appear clearly in front of everyone, and its magic is decreased too much to a normal human can pass through. Therefore, Hou Hun cashed a spell on the Door to help it move day by day. There were many people go to find the Door with the hope that they can find out Hou magical gem and Book of Hou tribe to live forever. As I know, no one came back after their journey to the forest.”

-So, if we want to find the Hou tribe, that must be a full moon night and we must have to prepare very well to break down the Hou Dark Door?

-Yup, but I warn you, that’s not a good idea. Hou Ma tribe has a connection to the Gods in the Sky. You will be punished for what you do, as the previous King who expelled the Hou Ma tribe out of the Main Land. He never had a family, his queen betrayed him, his son planned to kill each other to be the Crown Prince and even killed him to be the next King.

-That’s just what recorded in the history books,  no one knows if those are true or not. – The Emperor said. – Anyway, thank you for the information.
