PART 107 – THE STRANGE ENERGY

Miang Xiang appeared again in the road leading to the forest, she turned to walk to the western side. She stopped in front of a motel and got into. She then got upstair and knocked on the door of a room. That was Lei Hwa’s room.

-Miang Xiang! – Lei Hwa opened the door.

-Lei Hwa, I think that we need to take action faster! – Miang Xiang got into the room.

-What do you mean?

-I’ve just met some soldiers of the Minister, he must have doubts about Hou Lei and us.

-Why does that guy relate to Hou Lei?

-You seem to not know much about what Hou Lei is facing now.

-She’s now in the palace, and was married to a Prince, right?

-It’s not only that, there are many forces in the palace that want to have the Hou Ma gem also, including the Minister.

-Why must they focus on the Hou Ma gem?

-Because of the rumor. People said that it could lead to longevity.

-You should meet her in person. The green gem I gave her won’t have its effect well for a long time.

-I understand, but we have lost the important day to have a clue about the Hou Ma gem.

-You know, I have no idea where the gem is now, so I can’t help you. I can only say to you that it must be related to the royal family.

-Okay, that’s the reason why Hou Lei married to the Prince. Miang Xiang, I don’t have much time to talk with her, do you know how her life in the palace has been?

-Well, luckily, she married to the Third Prince, the best one of the three Princes, I think. He cares much about her and also loves her very much. However, Hou Lei is always focusing on her mission and ignores him. Through the last two years, they had passed many things together. He always does his best to protect her in the palace.

-Sound like a good guy.

-I guess that you have met him at least one time in this royal city.

-I think that he was the guy wanting to buy the hairpin I chose for Hou Lei.

-Maybe, just my guessing. But how do you feel about that guy?

-I could see the love he spent for his wife when he asked me to give away that hairpin for him.

-I think if fate is good enough, Hou Lei and he will have a good family together.

-But the reality is more miserable than we expected.

-Okay, Lei Hwa, if you need any help, you know where to find me.

-Thank you, however, I can feel that Er Wang is back to the royal city, you should be careful, he isn’t someone we can easily beat.

-I know that, see you later.

That afternoon, after having dinner with Tian Liam, Hou Lei brought the tray with dishes back to the kitchen. On the way, she could feel the mind contact from her mother.

“Hou Lei, I need to meet you in person soon, your status is not good!”

“I know that, mother, but I should have some time to prepare with the Prince.”

“I’ll help you to make him busy.”

Lei Hwa took out some herbs from her bag and chanted a spell making the wind blowing strong in the royal city and some assassins appeared. The assassins jumped on the roof of the palace and then ran across the roads in the city making the people scared. The news was immediately informed to the royal family. When Hou Lei returned to her room, Tian Liam was changing his clothes.

-Where do you prepare to go? – She asked.

-There are some assassins in the royal city, I need to check out with the General. – He replied.

-You must be careful.

-I know that, my cutie wife! – He touched her cheek and walked out of the room.

Tian Liam and Mr. Hu followed the assassins in every way they could, but it seemed to be endless in chasing them. They were very fast and there were many of them in the city. Tian Liam decided to separate his soldiers into four groups to chase the assassins.

At the same time, Hou Lei watched out of the room and saw no one caring about her. She jumped onto the roof of the building and went to meet her mother in a large field.

-Mother, I miss you so much. – She hugged Lei Hwa.

-I know that, my sweet, but we don’t have much time, I should check for your health first.

Lei Hwa brought out some herbs and a bottle of water, she poured the water on the ground around Hou Lei into a circle on the ground. She dropped the herb and chanted a spell. The waterdrops flew up surrounding Hou Lei and they could see some flows of energy in her body.

-So that is the reason I can feel a large amount of energy in your body. – Lei Hwa said.

-What happened to me, mother? – She surprised.

-The energy of Hou Ma gem!

-Hou Ma gem? How could that be possible? I’ve never seen the gem.

-I’m also wondering now, how could the gem put its energy into your body?

-That’s strange,  and that’s the reason I always feel tired these days.

-Yup, too much energy will make your body tired and feel not good. I have here some medicine tablets, I think they will make your status better.

-Thank you, mother, but the ritual was destroyed, what should we do now?

-You forgot one thing, I believe it could help, the unicorn jade. I stole it from Er Wang. Its magical ability can help you, read the book of Hou Ma tribe and you will find something useful.

-I understand, I should go now. – She hugged Lei Hwa one more time.

-We’ll reunite soon, my sweet.

She ran back to the palace, Lei Hwa still stood there looking at her daughter’s figure fading, she hoped that they could finish their mission soon and returned to their peaceful like as before.
