PART 106 – THE MINISTER AND MIANG XIANG

At that time, in the building of the Minister, he was still very angry from the punishment of the Emperor to his daughter, Liu Han. He had asked some soldiers to follow Tian Liang, because he was the most suspicious person now. He was reading some books and there was a knock on the door of his reading room, it was his soldier.

-Yes, my Minister. – The soldier said and went outside.

The Minister stood up and walked out of his reading room. He walked to Liu Han’s room and knocked on the door, he called for her:

-Liu Han, it’s father, can I get in?

-Yes, father, please get in, I don’t lock the door! – She replied.

-Just like normal, Father, boring and nothing to do.

That night came, the soldiers followed the request of the Minister, they hid behind a big building in front of the motel of Miang Xiang. She was telling something to her servants before leaving the motel. The soldiers guessed that she would leave for a meeting with the mysterious one they wanted to find out. They got their patience waiting for her. After a while, Miang Xiang left the motel and got to the northern way. The soldiers secretly followed her.

Miang Xiang walked to the big road leading to the forest near the royal city. The soldiers still followed each of her footsteps, they did not want to lose her signals like the previous times. Suddenly, Miang Xiang disappeared in front of the soldiers’ eyes. Then from all directions surrounding the soldiers, the fog came to their place. They walked closer to each other, did not know what was happening, it was clear that the atmosphere had been very normal just some minutes ago.

The fog became thicker and started to cover the sky above the soldiers. They could not see anything else except the heavy mist. They were scared that there was some kind of magical force around them. The wind became stronger, like a typhoon was coming. The strong wind blew all the mist away, leaving the soldiers in the middle of the forest.

-What? – The leader of the soldier aksed. – Am I night-walking?

-No, Mister, I think that we are in some kind of magical ritual. – Another soldier replied.

-So that Miang Xiang knows magic. I can’t believe that this type of person is still alive.

-We have no idea, there is not only Hou Ma tribe knowing about magic.

-Wait, do you hear anything?

-It sounds like… the wolf!

They looked around them and saw many wolves were moving closer to their place. They showed their sharp teeth and looking at them with lust. The soldiers raised their swords out to prevent the wolves from walking closer.

-What should we do now? – One soldier said.

-I don’t want to die here, and by these wolves. – Another one yelled.

-Calm down, my boys! – A voice came from many sides of the forest.

-Who’s that? – The leader of the soldiers asked. – Is that you Miang Xiang?

-You don’t need to know who I am. – The voice answered. – Just need to know that, if you continue to listen to the request of your master, you’ll soon be the dinner of these wolves.

-I don’t scare off your trick! They’re not real, this is a magical ritual!

-You can try it! But I warn you, these wolves have been hungry for almost three days.
