PART 99 – THE POISON’S REVELATION

-Maybe that doctor lied to you, my Prince. – Liu Han said.

-Liu Han, this is not a conversation you can attend. – The Minister said to her.

-He said to me that, this cure of Bei Kwang Xian is very special, if it meets Bei Kwang Xian in a person's stomach, it can treat the poison. However, if it meets another kind of poison, the person will get more pain and maybe died. – Tian Liang said.

-Sound dangerous. – The Emperor replied. – However, I don’t want to look my bureaucrats suffer a lot of pain like that, give them the cure.

-But father, we just need to carry out a small experiment before giving the cure to the bureaucrats. – Tian Liang continued.

-What do you want to do? Do it faster! – The Emperor lost his patient.

-Well, I need a person who assures that the poison in Hou Lei’s room is Bei Kwang Xian. – Tian Liang said with a sarcastic voice.

-And someone assures about Bei Kwang Xian? – The Emperor wondered.

-Liu Han and the doctor! – Tian Liam and Tian Liang said at the same time.

-I’m not doing that! – Liu Han said.

-You assured this pack was Bei Kwang Xian, just a small experiment, and you know, I had the cure here, you’ll be okay! – Tian Liang said.

-What if the cure on your hand isn’t the cure? – Liu Han asked.

-How dare you to say about a Prince like that, Liu Han? – Tian Liang yelled at her. – You mean I’m a liar in front of the Emperor and the Queen.

-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to say that! – She said with fear in her voice.

-Okay, Liu Han, get there and try the cure, you can save many bureaucrats. – The Emperor said.

A sentry walked close to the main palace and gave a signal to Tian Liang. He walked out of the room and the sentry whispered something to him, he smiled and got back to the discussion.

-My Emperor! – The Minister said. – Could we ask the doctor to test this cure?

-Okay, I can accept that. – The Emperor agreed.

-I’m afraid that the doctor won’t be here anymore to help you check this cure, Liu Han. – Tian Liang said to her with a sarcastic voice.

-What do you mean, my Prince? – The Minister asked.

-As I know, he has left the royal city now. – Tian Liang answered. – So Liu Han, please come here and test the cure to help the bureaucrats.

-How can he betray me? – Liu Han yelled in angry.

-Betray? – The Emperor asked her. – What is the betrayal here?

-Liu Han. – Tian Liang continued. – You could check this cure or saying out all the things?

-I… I… - Liu Han paused.

-What did you do, Liu Han? – The Minister yelled at her. – Did you poison me and the bureaucrats?

-Father, I didn’t mean to do that. – She kneed down. – My Emperor, my Queen, I didn’t mean to do that, it was because of Hou Lei, she had taken everything from me…

-How dare you say that? – The Queen shouted at her. – Hou Lei is a Princess, you’re only a Lady. Do you know what level of you?

-I’m sorry, my Queen, my Emperor… - The Minister also kneed down. – I don’t teach her well.

-Soldiers! – The Emperor shouted. – Bring her to prison!

-My Emperor, please calm down, Liu Han can’t stand with the life in the prison! – The Minister said.

-So Hou Lei can? – Tian Liam yelled at him. – It’s too easy for her to just be prisoned. Poisoning the bureaucrats in the party of the royal family isn’t normal guilt. She even doesn’t feel guilty for what she did. How can you beg for forgiveness?

-Enough. – The Emperor said. – Liu Han made a big wrong action, however, no one was hurt or died. Do you have any other idea, Mr. Liu?

-Thanks for your consideration, My Emperor! – The Minister said and forced Liu Han to get out with him.

-Now, release Princess Hou Lei! – The Emperor talked with the soldiers.

-Father, it’s not fair for Hou Lei, why had she to be prisoned but Liu Han not? – Tian Liang asked.

-The Minister has worked for our government for almost his life, if this time, I punish Liu Han much, he may betray me and the government. I know it’s not fair to Hou Lei, but we must look at the big picture of the problem and the bad results of our decisions. – The Emperor explained.

-My Emperor, we have helped Princess Hou Lei back to her room! – The soldiers reported.

-Father, Mother, I’ll go first. – Tian Liam said and ran out of the room.

-I have other works to do, goodbye father, mother! – Tian Liang also walked out of the room.

-I can see our son has loved this Princess much. – The Emperor said to the Queen.

-Yup, Hou Lei is a lady worth to be loved. – The Queen nodded.

Tian Liam opened the door of Hou Lei’s room and saw her sitting on a chair next to the window and looking at the small garden of her.

-Hou Lei, are you alright? – He walked next to her.

-I’m okay. – She turned back to look at him. – The sentries in the prison treated me very well.

-I was very worried about I couldn’t help you out of that place. – He hugged her.

-Everything is okay now. – She rubbed his back. – Everything is okay.

-You must be hungry, I’ll ask the chefs to make some food for you!

-Okay, thank you.

-Just sit there and wait for me, it takes a while!

She continued to look at the garden, just some days more, the suitable day for her ritual would come, and she would soon know where the Hou Ma gem was. After that, she had to leave this place, leave Tian Liam and his love. Everything had its own price, she could not have both of them, the revival of the Hou Ma tribe and the love of Tian Liam. The gem was the original reason making her here now, she needed to finish her mission although she had to leave the one she loved most.

-Here it comes! – Tian Liam was back with the tray of food on his hands. – Come here, my cutie wife!

She stood up and walked to the table with him, looking him smiling made her heart feel like many knives cutting it. He was so innocent to an evil princess like her, he treated her very well and by all of his heart. His heart would be broken into a thousand parts when he knew the truth about her. She did not want to hurt him, but what else she could do now?
