MY EVIL PRINCESS: Chapter 9: The doubt of Tian Liam

PART 66 – THE WU MAGIC

-It’s Wu magic! – She recognized it. – Like the magic in the Royal Garden.

She looked at the book and touched it, nothing happened, she guessed only when she wanted to open it, its magic would prevent her.

-Wait a minute, the vase wasn’t in my room from the time Tian Liam had brought me back here.

-Yup, I brought it here for you! – A voice came from her back.

-Who are you? What do you want? – She turned back.

-I only need you to help me get the book out of the vase! – That man replied.

-It’s you the mysterious man I saw some months ago!

-Good mind, you remember me, my Princess!

-You want to take the book, I won’t let you…

The man pointed a finger on her forehead making her fall down to the ground before she could finish her sentence. He then walked closer to the book and touched it. A wave of magic spread out of the book and pushed the man away of the table.

-My Princess! – Ah Jiang walked passing her room and saw the man. – There’s an assassin! There’s an assassin!

She shouted out loud and the soldiers heard her voice. The man looked at the book one more time before getting out of the room and flew up to the wall and ran away from the Palace. The Soldier General and some soldiers got to Ah Jiang’s place.

-Ah Jiang, what happened? Where’s the assassin?

-He has just … flown out of the Palace. – Ah Jiang was still in surprise with what she just witnessed.

-Fly out? – The General also surprised.

-Yup, he flew up to the wall and just flew out of the palace. – Ah Jiang assured. – I don’t lie, My General!

-How about Hou Lei? Is she okay?

-I don’t know, I just passed here and saw him in the room so I shouted out for help.

-You. – The General turned to a soldier. – Go to meet the Third Prince and inform him about this.

Mr. Hu and Ah Jiang got into her room, the book created itself a cover of magic and did not let other people see it. They helped Hou Lei got onto her bed. Ah Jiang ran to find the doctor for checking her health. Tian Liam was reading some documents of the government’s works, he stopped when hearing the soldier knocked on his door:

-My Prince! There is an important thing!

-You can get in! – He replied. – What happened?

-There was an assassin and he seemed to attack the Princess!

-Huh? – He stood up immediately. – Is Hou Lei okay?

-I don’t know, my Prince, the Soldier General is investigating there.

-Okay, come with me there, now!

Tian Liam grabbed a coat right beside the table he had sat before and worn it, then ran to Hou Lei’s room with the soldier. The doctor finished his check to Hou Lei.

-She is okay now. – The doctor said. – She was exhausted and very tired, her pulse is a little bit weak. The assassin might cut on her hand, I have bandaged her wound.

-Is Hou Lei okay? – Tian Liam got into her room.

-My Prince, she is okay, she needs to take a rest and I’ll give you the list of medicines needed for her to get her health back. – The doctor said.

-Ah Jiang, go with the doctor to take the medicine! – Tian Liam said to the maid.

Ah Jiang walked out with the doctor, the Soldier General also signed to the soldiers to get out of the room, only Tian Liam and Mr. Hu left.

-What happened, Mr. Hu? – He asked.

-I have no idea, Ah Jiang said that she saw an assassin flying out of our palace. – Mr. Hu replied.

-Fly out? Like a bird?

-I think that assassin was the same as the one fought you after your wedding some days.

-Maybe. But I don’t remember anything about that assassin!

-It seems that we should take this opportunity to inspect more about that assassin. He is very dangerous and mysterious, to all of us.

-He can fly, so do you think he has some kinds of magic?

-I don’t know, my Prince, everything can happen now, he may come from Hou Ma tribe, Er tribe or another tribe knowing magic.

-Okay, help me to investigate him.

-Do you need to leave some soldiers here with you and the Princess tonight and some days after?

-Well, I think there should be some, but ask some of them to guard around the entrance and some to watch the Princess’ room.

-Yup, my Prince! I’ll do my best to find out that guy!

Mr. Hu said and went outside of the room. The General closed the door carefully and met the soldiers to command them. Tian Liam sat on a chair next to Hou Lei’s bed, he watched her beautiful face, all the things she made him felt angry the previous day were now gone. There was a knock on the door.

-My Prince, It’s Ah Jiang, I bring the medicine for the Princess, could I get in? – Ah Jiang asked.

-It’s okay, just get in! – He replied.

-The medicine is still warm, the doctor recommends that the Princess should take it early.

-Okay, put the tray on the table for me, you can leave for taking your rest!

Ah Jiang put the tray on the table and left. He helped Hou Lei to get up, she was still sleeping. He brought the bowl of medicine and sat on the table, carefully blew the spoon of warm medicine before feeding her. After helping her have the medicine, he took her back to laying down on the table, took the blanket to cover her body well. Then he sat back to the chair, holding her hand and looked at her gently.

The morning came, Hou Lei woke up and turned right, she saw Tian Liam was holding her hand tightly by his hands, he still sat on the chair and his head was lying on the bed. She slowly took her hand out of his hands and sat up. She took her blanket to cover his body lightly, try not to wake him up. He suddenly moved his hands and did not feel her hand inside, he opened his eyes.

-Do you prepare to go somewhere one more time? – He gasped and asked.

-I just want to have some tea. I’m thirsty! – She replied.

-I’ll take it for you, just stay here. Your health is not good now.

-You aren’t angry with me more? – She surprised.

-My love for you is a thousand times bigger than my angry for you. – He took a cup of tea for her.
