PART 67 – LEI HWA CAME BACK

*From this part, I changed the name of Hou Lei’s mother from Lei Hu to Lei Hwa.*

-Thank you! – Hou Lei took the cup of tea from Tian Liam.

-I’m sorry! – He held her hands.

-For what? You didn’t do anything wrong. – She surprised.

-For not protecting you well as I said. You even got hurt.

-It’s not your fault, don’t blame…

-It’s my fault! – He cut her sentence. – And I have a decision for fixing my fault!

-A decision? You seem serious!

-Yup, I’ll stay here with you forever for protecting you!

He walked out of her room, on the way, he sang while he was walking, that made the maids and the sentries looked at him strangely. He was very happy now, he wanted to dance but he thought that seemed to be very silly to do that. He took the tray of food from the chefs and returned her room. The Queen was at there with her.

-Mother, you’re also here! – He greeted the Queen.

-I’ve heard about the assassin, I want to check if Hou Lei is okay! – The Queen said.

-Please don’t worry, from now on, I’ll be here with her to protect her! – He said strongly.

-Well. – The Queen fetched a sigh. – Remember that you used to fail in the fight with the assassin one time. You two must be careful! I’ve asked your Father to send more soldiers to protect here.

They had breakfast together, and he did not let her do anything, he sent her back to her bed and brought the tray of dishes back to the kitchen.

At that time, in the mountain of Er people, everything seemed to be normal. The Er women made the fabric for Er Wang to bring to the royal city for sale. The Er men worked with the crops and made the machines for weaving. Lei Hwa was trapped in a small cave behind the village, each day the sentry of Er Wang would bring food and water to her. Er Wang still needed her to find Hou Lei and know about the secret of the book of Hou Ma tribe. They thought that Lei Hwa could not do anything when she was in their hands. They did not know the truth that she was waiting for something bigger, which made her accept to be prisoned here. Each full-moon day, Lei Hwa used the spell to absorb the power of the moonlight to heal her injury and make her magic more powerful.

-This time our Er Wang had a long trip to the royal city! – One sentry said to another.

-I heard that he found something interesting in the royal city, so he stays there for his inspection. – The other replied.

-I wonder why he must go there to sale our fabric. We can go to West Land and sell them easier.

-You don’t know anything, he wants to have the information about Main Land people, so when we are powerful enough we will go there and easily defeat them.

-Oh, that’s it, so that’s also the reason why he keeps this woman here!

-Yeah, she is the only one now knowing about the uses of the book of Hou Ma tribe and she can connect to her daughter, the one was predicted to be the most powerful of Hou Ma tribe.

She took out two candles she had saved from the previous year till now for her ritual with some dried herbs left in her bag. She waited until night came. Everyone in Er village was falling asleep. Lei Hwa pretended to be sleeping when the sentries checked her status. When they left, she took out the candles, the herbs and some of the salt. She lit the candles and dropped the herbs around the candles. Then she put some of the salt on the herbs and let the fire from the candles burn the herbs. She chanted a spell and the smoke came out from the herbs spread across the village making all the Er people fell into a very deep sleep.

Lei Hwa stood up and reached her hands to the door of the prison, the door opened without any demand. She walked out and checked if all the sentries were sleeping. She moved out of the cave and went to the main house of the village, the house of Er Wang. She still had a connection to the book of Hou Ma tribe. She walked into the house and easily found the book. After taking the book with her, she found everywhere in the house for something else. It took a while and she could not find the thing. She waved her hands up and chanted a spell, the moonlight reached to her place and lighted up all the room. There was a signal from a corner of the wall, she walked to that corner and took the painting on the wall down. There was a small drawer, she took it out and saw a shining thing.

-Finally, found you! – She smiled.

She brought the painting back to its place and broughtthe small box with the shining thing with her. She walked out of the room but turning back to get some money in the trunks of Er Wang, “just take some charge from prisoning me in nearly two years”, she talked to herself. After put these thing in a bag, she opened the door and jumped to a far distance, just like Hou Lei flew out of the wall of the palace. She jumped some more steps and reached to the down of the mountain. The next morning came, the people in Er village woke up after a deep sleep. They did not know what had happened in the night, just continued their normal works until a sentry checked Lei Hwa’s prison room and shouted out:

-Lei Hwa has escaped!!! Lei Hwa has escaped!!!
