PART 65 – THE DOUBT OF TIAN LIAM_2

-Actually, that’s what I did! – Hou Lei answered. – Whatever you believe me or not!

-Hou Lei, please, at least giving me a reason to believe in you! – Tian Liam stood up.

-I have no idea what I should do or should say to you!

-Okay, let’s see. – He took a deep breath to calm down. – I’m listening, talk something with me!

-I have nothing to say to you, Tian Liam! You can believe whatever you want!

-Hou Lei, why our conversations usually get into this kind of situation? You don’t want me to know anything about you? Or you’re hiding something?

-I’m not hiding anything, you can check everything in my room.

-Hou Lei. – He hugged her tightly. – Please don’t be too carefree like that!

-Tian Liam… - She pushed him away but he did not let her go.

-You know I love you much, but don’t let me alone like that. I want to know more about you, because not only I love you but also I want to believe you. Don’t let me believe in something I can’t touch or even I can’t imagine.

-As I said. – She cut his sentence. – You can believe whatever you want! I’m tired, I need to go to bed, please return to your place.

She pushed him out of her room and closed the door. He raised his hand up and wanted to knock on the door, but he stopped and walked to the entrance leading to her room. He looked back one more time and turned to the way to his room.

Hou Lei opened the door after feeling that he had gone. Her eyes were full of emotions. She just did not know what to do with him. She just could not reply to his love, she had to move on her plan to find out the Hou Ma gem as soon as possible. Then, she should leave him and this palace, she could not lie to him more and more like that. After all, when she left, he would get only hurt and pain, he should not have loved her from the beginning. She closed the door and got onto her bed, still thinking about him. Why he had doubts about her but still forced himself to believe in her words? He wanted to know more about her, but could he remain his love for her after knowing all the truth about her identity, her plan, and her aim when she got here? Everything began to be a mess again in her head. Too many things needed to be concerned now, she did not know what she should or should not do now. She wished her mother and her father here, they could give her some advice in this difficult situation. She had much time trying to connect with her mother, but she could find Lei Hu’s signal. She could not determine if her mother was still alive or not. The thoughts ran around in her head and made her tired then falling asleep without any notice.

After two days, the soldiers of Tian Liam got to the West Land. They got the agreement of the King and the Queen to get in the palace and bring the trunks with them. The leader of the soldiers gave Tian Liam’s letter directly to the hand of the King. Then the soldiers got some rooms renting from the small motel without the notice of the King and the Queen, they were waiting for the reaction of the King as Tian Liam had wanted them to do.

-So these are what my son-in-law presents us after more than a year and a half of marrying our daughter? – The King looked at the trunks.

-But I feel satisfied when I knew that Hou Lei married with the Third Prince of Main Land instead of the Crown Prince. Tian Liam is the best of the three Princes and people praise him much for his kindness and his talents in martial arts, and well-known for a truthful man. – The Queen replied.

-I also set my mind at rest when knowing that. – The King continued. – Let’s see what he wrote for us. Hope our daughter has a good life there.

“Dear my Parents-in-law,

I’m Wang Tian Liam, the Third Prince of Main Land and husband of your daughter.

I would like to say many thanks to you for sending the most beautiful Princess to marry me. I cannot describe how happy I am now with Hou Lei beside me every day. Thank you for all the things you had made to help her become a good lady of all.

Please do not worry about her life in the Palace here, she is very kind to all people and they love her much, of course including me. I have never imagined a Princess can cook well like her, and each of her dishes bring me from this surprise to another. Her talent in playing instrumentals also is a special point, I can just listening to her playing the zither all day. She also helped my mother to pass a hard disease, I did not know what to do in that period without her.

The trunks are some presents I want to send to you. I and Hou Lei will arrange our time to come to West Land someday soon. My Father and my Mother love her much, so you can feel free of care about her life now.

Wang Tian Liam, your son-in-law.”

-So strange! – The Queen said after reading the letter.

-I feel that too, is the Third Prince mentioning about our daughter? – The King wondered.

-Bei Yiu has never put her step into the kitchen so how she can cook for him the delicious meal?

-She also doesn’t like the instrumentals although we hired a musician to teach her playing Ziba and zither. She hadn’t had an interest in them.

-The strangest is how can she know about medicine to help the Main Land Queen get out of her disease? – The Queen sat down on a chair.

-This letter makes me feel so worried.

-Me, too. Why he describes his wife as she doesn’t have anything like our daughter?

-I think we should arrange a visit for them as soon as possible. I’m really worried about what Tian Liam said in the letter. Did something go wrong with our daughter?

-I have no idea, I will send some soldiers of us to bring a letter to announce about our visit to them in a near day. – The King said.

That night, in the Palace, Hou Lei used her spell to know what happened in the West Land, the signal she put on the soldiers and the trunks gave their effects. She could see the King and the Queen reading Tian Liam’s letter and knowing about their conversation.

“Tian Liam, finally, you have doubts on me as I guessed. It is a hard thing to decide what will come next for both of us. If the King and Queen of West Land come here, they might recognize the strange things on me comparing with their true daughter. I think I should take a step first.”

Suddenly, a strong wind made her door opened and put out her lamp. Hou Lei got up and looked for something to fire up the lamp. She broke something in her room and when the light came back, she realized that was the vase she had found at the bottom of the lake near the palace. She could feel there was a strong magic source in the broken vase. She collected the broken pieces of the vase to put them beside and saw something like a small book.

-A book? – She surprised and picked it up. – How can a book exist in a vase underwater?

The book was protected by a kind of strange magic. Hou Lei tried to open it but she could not. She put the book on the table, carefully closed the door and chanted a spell. She waved her hands pointing to the book, black smoke came out of the book and aimed to her hand. It cut her hand a wound and returned back to the book.
