PART 68 – LEI HWA CAME BACK_2

That night, Tian Liam asked the maid to prepare for him a couple of blanket and pillow. He planned to sleep on the ground. He took out the big blanket and put it on the floor. Hou Lei looked at him, he knew that and also looked at her, she avoided his sight.

-Goodnight! – He laid down on the blanket.

After a while, he closed his eyes and fell asleep. She glanced at him and could not sleep. She got up and walked to his place, shook him:

-Tian Liam, are you awake?

He did not answer her, pretended to sleep deeply. She stood up and said:

-I know you are still awake, if you don’t want to talk with me, I’ll…

-Okay, okay! – He got up. – I’ve already known your punishment.

-The weather is cold. You can get sick when sleeping on the ground. So… - She paused.

-So?? – He wondered.

-Well… get onto the bed with me! I believe that you won’t do anything bad. So don’t make me disappointed this time.

-It’s okay, I can sleep here, I don’t want to bother you.

-Your presence here already makes me feel not comfortable, so if you are next to me or not isn’t a problem. – She continued.

-I just want to protect you… if that makes you uncomfortable, I’ll leave.

-What’s the problem with you tonight, Tian Liam? You don’t want to sleep next to me?

-Of course, I want that, but I also want you to be good, I’ll go outside.

He stood up and prepared to walk out. She held his hand back.

-You want the sentries and the maids to see you walk around my room in the night?

-I think you don’t care about that!

-I don’t care about what people saying about me, but I do care for you.

He pulled her hand to his body and hugged her.

-Thank you, for caring about me!

-Don’t say anything more, you will make me cry and it’s not good when you see me crying. – She gently pushed him out of her. – And don’t take advantage of me.

-Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean to do that, I was just too emotional!

-Now, my Prince, please get onto the bed with me, I’m tired and you, too.

He tidied up his blanket and got onto the bed with her, he laid down on the inside of the bed. He looked at her gently, she closed her eyes and tried to sleep. He continued looking at her until he fell asleep and closed his eyelids.

At midnight, Hou Lei felt something strange and she suddenly woke up as hearing someone calling her name. Beside her, Tian Liam was sleeping deeply, she slowly and lightly got out of the bed and walked to the door. She opened it and stepped outside. She could feel strongly the signal of Hou Ma magic aiming to her place.

-My Princess, are you okay? – A sentry asked her.

-Oh, nothing, I just heard some noise. – She replied. – I’ll back to my room.

When she came back, Tian Liam was still sleeping. She got back onto her bed and laid down.

“You said you would protect me, but you even sleep deeper than me.”, she whispered and kissed on his cheek. Suddenly, she covered her lips by her hand, she did not think she would do that. Or she really had the feelings for him? She shook her head and continued to sleep.

On the other side, Lei Hwa bought a horse and rode it to the royal city of Main Land, as she heard before from the sentries of Er Wang that Hou Lei was now there. She had the power of jumping high and far as Hou Lei got, but she did not want to take notice from people in the night, she chose the horse to be her traffic transportation. She did not sleep the whole night, she just wanted to reunite with her beloved daughter. They had been separated for more than a year and a half, she had to stay at Er tribe for waiting for the chance to get back the book of Hou Ma tribe. She used her magic to find the signal of Hou Lei and rode the horse to that direction.

The next morning, Lei Hwa got to the royal city of Main Land. She got off the horse and led it into the city with her. Everything seemed to be a little bit strange to her for a long time no see the world outside of her prison. She sold the horse for a businessman because she would not need it anymore.

On the big road, Lei Hwa ran into Miang Xiang:

-Oh sorry, Miss! – Lei Hwa said.

-I’m sorry, too! – Miang Xiang replied. – I was not careful to watch the road.

-Have we met before? You’re like someone I knew.

-Oh, you must be wrong to recognize me same as someone. I meet you here is the first time.

Then, Miang Xiang rapidly left the place and got back to her motel.

-This lady is so strange, I think I’ve met her. Her body is cover with something like magic but also not like magic. – Lei Hwa said to herself. – However, finding Hou Lei is more important now, I can inspect about this lady later.

Lei Hwa walked to a motel near a large field, she rented a room for a month.

-Ma’am, do you need anything else? – The servant asked.

-Nope, please don’t disturb me, if I need anything, I’ll call you! – Lei Hwa answered.

-Have a good afternoon!

The servant left, Lei Hwa closed the door and windows carefully. She brought out the book of Hou Ma tribe and the thing she got from Er Wang’s house, the jade of the unicorn. She chanted a spell and the jade starting to shine brightly.

-I think its power can help Hou Lei in her plan to find out the Hou Ma gem. The royal palace is not the place that Hou Ma magic can have its powerful effect, but this jade can absorb the power of the privileged land creating by the Emperor through the years. Thank you so much, Er Wang, for having something like this. I will definitely return it to you when Hou Lei finishes her mission. – She said to herself. – Oh, I forgot, your Er people are also here. I must be careful.

She put the book and the jade back to her pocket. She took a nap on the bed. The evening came, Lei Hwa got up and walked down to the motel ground floor. She asked the servant for direction to a medicine store, she needed to buy some herbs. That was the same store where Tian Liam led Hou Lei to go to buy the herbs to treat for the Queen.

-Miss, what do you want to do with these herbs? – The owner of the store asked.

-I just want to cook some food.  – Lei Hwa replied.

-Cook some food? I’ve never seen anyone buying these herbs for cooking food.

-You’ve never seen doesn’t mean that I can’t cook with them, right?

-Okay, well, they’re yours. – He packed the herbs for her. – You’re just like a young lady I’ve met, buying some herbs which people have never mixed together…
