MY EVIL PRINCESS:
Chapter 6: The mysterious in the Palace
PART 39 – SHE MADE HIM
HURT_2
Hou Lei walked out of the room to define if the
General found something news. Liu Han ran to her place but she stopped her:
-What are you doing here? – Hou Lei asked.
-I heard that Tian Liam was injured. I want to see
him. – Liu Han answered.
-He’s in my room, but he still sleeps. You shouldn't
get in.
-I want to see him. – She yelled.
-But he’s my husband! – Hou Lei shouted at her. –
Remember where you’re now, it’s North Liam palace, not your home! And you’re in
front of my room!
-So what? He is my love, I just want to see if he is
okay.
-Not now, he needs to take a rest, return to your home
and I will ask him to meet you when he is better. – Hou Lei glanced at her.
-I’m worried about him, please let me see him, just a
moment! – She begged.
-I said no! – She emphasized her words.
-Miss Liu Han. – The Soldier General appeared. – You
should come home first, the Third Prince was in a faint, he needs to take rest
more. Princess Hou Lei will take care of him well, don’t worry!
-I just want to see him, Mr. Hu. – Liu Han begged.
-My sentries will lead you back, don’t disturb them.
The General held her shoulders and led her to go with
his soldiers. Then he looked at Hou Lei.
-My Princess, I couldn’t find any sign of an assassin.
-You mean I’m a liar? – She wondered.
-Of course not. Our Prince is very good at martial
arts, this assassin must be very good too. So that he could win the Prince and
escape without any notice.
-I think so, but Tian Liam doesn’t get an extreme
injury. It’s the most important!
-My Princess, forgive me for asking this. – He paused.
-Just ask! I think you know me, I will answer your
question if I can.
-Do you love the Third Prince?
-Honestly, I don’t know exactly if I love him or not.
You know, I’ve met him for a short time, don’t know much about his
characteristics, I even don’t know what he like most, what dishes he love, what
kind of books he usually reads. But I know that I’m his wife now, and I have a
responsibility to take care of him. I think you are worrying about if I can look
after him well or not, right?
-Yes, My Princess, you’re very smart. Prince Tian Liam
is the kindest one of the Princes and he knows how to consider other’s problems
to help them. He doesn’t care about the level or power in this Palace, he
treats everyone very well. He is the one I most respect after the Emperor and
the Queen. I do care much about him, like my son.
-I understand, Mr. Hu, I will take good care of him,
don’t worry.
-I’ve asked the doctor to make the packs of medicines
for our Prince, here they are. – He brought out the packs and gave her. –
Please look after him well!
-I will. Thank you for bringing these to me. – She
nodded.
-I have some works to do, I’ll go first! – He said. –
I’ll let you know if I have any news about the assassin. Goodbye, My Princess!
She
came back to her room, put the packs of medicines on the table. She got a basin
of warm water and a towel and sat down next to the bed. She gently wiped his
forehead, his face and then his hands. He breathed slowly with a handsome face,
different from the one normally made her get angry each time they met.
He
looked so innocent this moment, she wondered if she pulled him into her plan to
help her find out the Hou Ma gem, was that too unfair with him? He loved her by
all his heart, she replied to him by taking advantage of it for her own
business. Even more, she hurt him much tonight, he had to share a part of this
result because of not listening to her prevention. She felt poor for him from
the very first time they met. She took a deep breath, cleaned the room,
arranger her furniture, and always looked at him constantly to assure he was
okay.
That night, she did not sleep. She walked around the
room and thought about her medicine. She should let him get the medicine to
help his wound healed faster or not. She brought out the medicine but kept it
back, she imagined the doctor would check for him every day and knew the
mystery from his fast recovery. She thought about her plan, should she involve
him in that revenge plan or not? After the hidden things about her revealed,
would he still love him or what she should do next? People would criticize or
even want to take her head? Would her plan succeed and she could bring her
tribe back? Would she see her family once again?
The thoughts made her tired and slept with her head
laid on her hands on the table. The next morning, no one disturbed her sleep,
she woke up late and saw Tian Liam still not regain his consciousness. She
washed her face and went to the kitchen to grab a pot and an oven with her. She
put them in the table in the garden and extracted the medicine for him. She
looked after the medicine pot and often got to the window to see if he was
alright.
She finished the medicine and brought to him. She
helped him sit up and slowly fed the medicine to him, she blew it carefully
before inserted the spoon into his mouth. After that, she got him some water
and let him lay down back. She continued to wipe his face, his hands, and his
wounds, she also covered the herbs on his large wounds.
In that day, she ate very fast and came back to look
after him, she felt she needed to take this responsibility, he got an injury
because of her. His status became better, the Emperor and the Queen were
satisfied with the efforts she made. The doctor checked for him each morning
and evening, he taught her how to take care of his wounds and informed that he
would be wake in the next day.
The next day, to prepare for his waking up, Hou Lei
got to the kitchen and made some rice gruel for him. She then came back and
extracted the medicine for him. When she looked through the window, she saw his
hand moving. She immediately ran into the room:
-Tian Liam, are you awake?
-Hou Lei. – His voice was very weak. – I need some
water.
She picked up the teapot and poured some tea into a
cup for him. She gently helped him sit up and gave him the cup. They smelled
some bad flavor:
-Is this something burning?
-Oh, I forgot! It’s your medicine!
She ran out to the garden and picked up the cover of
the medicine pot. It was hot and she dropped it down on the ground, broken.
Tian Liam heard the sound, he tried to ask her loudly:
-What’s the problem? Are you okay?
-I’m okay, just stay there, I’ll be right back!
She poured the liquid extraction of the medicine left
in the pot into a bowl, and brought to him.
-Sorry. – She said. – It was a little left, I’ll make
another for you this afternoon.
-You got hurt. – He held her hand and saw her finger a
little bit red.
-I’m okay. Do you want some more tea?
-Hou Lei, what happened? Why I got injured?
To be continued...
