PART 36 – THE WEDDING_5

The next morning, Tian Liam got up very early, he prepared things to greet the Queen and the Emperor as a tradition of the new married couple did. He chose the black suit he ordered the same fabric with Hou Lei. He had asked Ah Jiang to prepare clothes for Hou Lei in two days before. He brought a tray with a wine pot and some cups with him to meet Hou Lei.

-My Princess! – Ah Jiang knocked on the door.

-What’s that, Ah Jiang? It’s very early. – Hou Lei opened her eyes.

-I forgot to tell you, the next after the wedding date, you must go to greet your husband’s parents, it is a tradition of Main Land. – She said. – I’m here bringing the basin with water for you to wash your face and your clothes.

Ah Jiang put the basin on the round table and the clothes on the table next to the window.

He stood there and waited for her, some maids passing the big door leading to her room saw him standing there. They talked to each other:

-You don’t have anything to do? – The Soldier General got there.

-Have your sit! – The Queen pointed at the table on the left side.

-Wait a moment. – The Emperor said. – I’ve asked for some special guesses to join us.

And they came, Miang Xiang and the Soldier General.

-My Emperor, my Queen, my Prince, my Princess! – They greeted them.

-As you know, this meeting should just be our family, but I want you to meet someone because, without them, the wedding couldn’t occur smoothly.

-There was someone who wanted to corrupt our wedding? – Tian Liam asked.

-Yup, my Prince. – The General said. – I saw a maid put poison into the wine of your wedding and I asked Miss Miang Xiang to help me change her good wine for us.

-Do you get your investigation? – The Emperor asked.

-I’ve done. – He answered. – That was a poison from West Land.

-West Land? – Hou Lei surprised.

-But don’t worry my Princess, I know you didn’t do that, it’s Liu Han, she brought the poison from someone and asked a maid to do that. – The General said.

-However, I don’t want to make this a big issue, no one gets hurt. – The Emperor said. – Just know about that in our meeting, don’t let the information leaking out. I will ask the Minister to punish his daughter.

-Thank you, My Emperor! – Miang Xiang and the General said and left.

-Now, talk about you two, Tian Liam. I have something to reward you two, meet my sentries to get that. – The Emperor said.

-What we should talk? – He wondered. – I don’t have experience in this.

-Of course, you have no idea. – The Queen smiled. – Hou Lei, you’re now the wife of Main Land Prince, you don’t need to do housework like other daughters-in-law, but you should take care of your husband.
