PART 113 – THE MISSING OF TIAN LIAM_3

-Okay, Tian Liang, go to the reading room and get some books about Er tribe written by the previous researchers, we can find some information there. – The Emperor said to him and turned to the General. – Mr. Hu, get some of the maps of the South area.

After a while, Mr. Hu and Tian Liang came back with the things the Emperor had requested.

-Mei Lan, you should take a rest. Let us handle from here. – The Emperor said to the Queen.

-Okay, I will leave first, all of you should care about your health also. – The Queen stood up. – Especially, you, Hou Lei. You did not sleep last night.

-I know, mother, thank you for your consideration! – She replied.

The Queen left, Hou Lei and the three men sat around a round table, the General explained about the topographic of the South area to Hou Lei and Tian Liang. After that, they got each person a book about the Er tribe and read the information there.

-As Hou Lei and Tian Liang described, Er people cannot be beaten down easily. – The General said. – We cannot fight with them directly.

He rode a horse to the royal city. He stopped in front of Miang Xiang’s motel. He got down from the horse and walked into the motel.

She led him to a room upstairs and opened the door. There was a table setting with some dishes and some chairs. She invited him to sit down.

-I know, but you need to have your dinner also. – She replied and put food into his bowl.

-I have many things to do…

-I know, my Prince, but I will not let you use my drug.

-I know, Tian Liam was kidnapped by the Er tribe. – She replied with ease.

The morning came, Hou Lei got up early to prepare for the journey to the South with Tian Liang and Mr. Hu. They got onto a horse wagon. They stopped in front of the motel and Miang Xiang joined them. She brought with her some small vials.

-Miss Miang Xiang, thank you for your presence. – Tian Liang said.

-I promised you and I should do my words. – She replied.

For more than a day and a half, they got to the mountain of the Er tribe. They got down off the horse wagon and walked on a small road leading to the top of the mountain. It took them a half-day to get near to the place of the Er tribe. They camped under some big trees to wait for midnight to come.

At midnight, the wind blew a little bit stronger. Miang Xiang took the chance to dropped her powder from the vials into the air. The wind brought the powder to the Er tribe. After some minutes, Miang Xiang gave Hou Lei a small dark vial.

-My Princess, the Prince will be affected by the drug also, when we get him out of the tribe, let him drink this vial immediately. – Miang Xiang explained.

-I understand. – Hou Lei nodded.

Some soldiers went to the village of Er tribe first to check the status of them. All of the Er people were falling into a very deep sleep. They did not notice anything happening around them. The soldiers returned to inform the news. Hou Lei and her allies started to get into the village. They looked for Tian Liam in each house of the village. Finally, when she got into the house of Er Wang, she saw Tian Liam was tied to a big tree in the yard of the house. She untied him and let him drink the vial Miang Xiang giving her. He slowly opened his eyes.

-Hou Lei, am I in a dream? – He wondered.

-No, it is not a dream, I am here with you right now. – She touched his cheek.

At that time, Miang Xiang walked around the village, she saw some broken vases on a big yard in the middle of the village. Near the vases were some kinds of ash. She touched the ash and got some on her finger and looked closer to them.

-Look like a very big ritual taking place here! – She said to herself. – But Er people do not know magic, how can they carry some kinds of those magical rituals?

-Miss Miang Xiang, Hou Lei has found Tian Liam. – Tian Liang informed her.

-Okay, I’ll be right there. – She replied and wrapped some of the ash into a small piece of paper.

She stood up and looked around the vases with suspicious eyes and walked back to join with the others. Hou Lei helped Tian Liam to walk out of the house and met Mr. Hu. He asked some soldiers to help him walk down to the down of the mountain.
