PART 115 – THE MISUNDERSTANDING

After cooking in the kitchen, Hou Lei put some mint leaves in the tea and brought the tray of food to Tian Liam’s room. On the way, she met Tian Liang.

-Hi, sister-in-law! Bringing the food to Tian Liam? – He asked.

-Yes, brother, do you want some? – She replied.

-Well, I can get it myself. Thank you!

-I cooked myself. I have two other dishes of the food in the kitchen.

-So thank you, let me try your cooking skills, people say that your food is very fantastic.

-When you cook with love, and every dish will be fantastic.

-Tian Liam is lucky to have a wife like you.

-There are many other good ladies, you will find someone suitable for you. I believe!

-But not like you. – He laughed. – However, you know, looking for someone suitable for us is not easy work. Maybe it takes the whole life, or worse, you know that she is not your fate, it’s the most miserable thing in the world.

-You’re a good guy, I believe your love will love you much. Now, follow me to the kitchen, I will give you the dishes. – She turned to the back.

-Okay, thank you, sister-in-law!

He followed her to the kitchen, she put the dishes into a tray with a teapot.

-Here you are. – She gave the tray to him.

-Thank you. Is that you planned to give me these? – He wondered.

-I have no idea, I just cooked as normal. – She answered. – However, please give me some feedback when you taste them.

She walked out of the kitchen. He stood there for some minutes looking to the tray.

“Actually, fate must be playing with me, Hou Lei. How can I resist the reality that you are now my sister-in-law? How can I face you each day, seeing you smile, hearing your voice and watching you in happiness with someone else?”

He shook his head and brought the tray of food to his room. He sat down and looked at the food, getting some and putting in his mouth. His eyes shined brightly just like the first time Tian Liam tasted her food. He tasted the other dish and felt fantastic with the feelings he now got.

“Looking like it is much better than the first time we met.”, he said to himself, “Anyway, I still feel in this food the trace of someone I used to know. Tian Liam is now the luckiest man when marrying you. I wished that I was here at the time you arrive from the West Land. And I would definitely take the chance to be with you, my Princess.”

Hou Lei opened the door and walked into Tian Liam’s room. He opened his eyes and turned to look at her. She put the tray on the table and helped him to sit up.

-I can do it myself. Do not need to care much about me. – He said.

-If I do not care about you now, who will? You want the maids to help you? – She let her hands go.

-Sorry, I do not mean that. My beloved wife, you’re the best of them!

-“Beloved”? – She wondered.

-Yup, what is the matter? – He asked.

-Oh, nothing. Let’s eat when the food is still warm.

They got to the table, she put some food into his bowl. He took some food and looked like he felt amazing with what he tasted. She looked at him strangely, the way he was eating was somehow different from his normal. He had not ever put too much food into his mouth like he was doing. She remembered that he ate her food fast but gently and somehow, with a royal style. But she thought that maybe he missed her food much because he had been captured in the Er tribe for several days. She did not mind about that anymore. She poured some tea for him, he took the cup and drank.

-Huh??? – He surprised.

-What is wrong? – She stood up and rubbed his back. – Are you okay?

-This tea… something is wrong. – His face looked not good.

-Let me check. – She checked the pulse of his waist.

-There is something strange about the tea.

-I put some mint leaves into it.

-Does that mint have a conflict with the medicine I’m having?

-I do not know, sorry, let me check later. I will get you some water.

She walked to the table near the window and got some water in another cup for him. He drank it and she rubbed his back continuously.

-Okay, I feel better now. – He said.

-Do you want to eat more? – She sat down and touched his cheek.

-It’s enough. I think I need to take a rest.

-Okay, let me help you. – She helped him to lay down on the bed.

The morning later, she checked the list of the medicines giving by the doctor. Nothing was strange between the medicines and the mint leaves. She also came to check with the doctor and he answered the same thing, no conflict between them. She did not know the reason making Tian Liam feel not good when taking the tea with mint leaves. However, the business of taking care of him made her forget about that problem.

Some days later, Tian Liam’s status was better, he could take care of himself in normal activities. The Queen and the Emperor, however, did not want him to join back to the works in the government too early. They let him take rest some more days. The Er tribe and Er Wang did not have any other action that made Hou Lei feel strange. She wondered, what was actually the reason Er Wang kidnapped Tian Liam.

That night, after having dinner with Tian Liam, she set up the room for him and walked back to her room. She wanted to know that if Er Wang had returned to the royal city or not. She needed to take action before he did. He had to remember her real identity, if not he had not acted strangely when meeting her and saying many things relating to the Hou Ma tribe. When she reached her room, she closed the door carefully and got out the book of Hou Ma tribe. She based on the knowledge about Er Wang to chant a spell of finding someone. She moved her hands several times and the green light appeared from her hands. She tried to determine the place of Er Wang but she could not find him.

Unfortunately, she forgot to close the window, some maids walked passing her room and saw she was playing with magic. They yelled loudly…

-Demoness!!! There is a demon in the palace!!!

The maids yelled continuously to the time some soldiers reached and ran to her room. She stopped the spell immediately, but it was too late, many people saw her using magic in the palace and they thought that she was a demoness.
