PART 135 – THE PAST OF THE ASSASSIN

-He was Zhang Xian. – Miang Xiang replied to Mr.Hu.

-What was he doing here? – Mr. Hu surprised. – He wanted to hurt the Prince?

-I do not think so. I could see that he had a bigger ambition to reach here. – She answered.

-Wait a minute! – Tian Liang stopped them. – Could anyone tell me who is Zhang Xian and why do you know him?

-Well. – Miang Xiang sat on a chair. – It was a very long story. However, I could only tell you some of the details to have a general look at this guy and the past.

-Should we let him know that? – Mr. Hu asked. – It can make a mess in the palace about the past and that guy, you know.

-Mr. Hu, it is related to the safety of people in this palace, Hou Lei and Tian Liam also met this guy in recent months, he is a danger to us. – Tian Liang explained.

-Just let him know some of the things, we need his knowledge to find out a way to prevent Zhang Xian from getting his aim. – Miang Xiang said.

-Okay. – Mr. Hu replied. – Zhang Xian used to be our friend, and he was one of the people getting close to the Queen. He fell in love with our Queen, however, did not get a reply from her. He used to protect the Queen much and helped her to get close to the Emperor.

-Then, the Queen rejected his love and did not want the Emperor to know about him, so she asked some priests to make a curse on him, not letting him get close to her anymore. Zhang Xian originally was one of the priests of the East Er tribe. He got both special physical strength and magical ability. After the Queen cursed him, he returned to the East Land and practiced his magic much. Day by day, he had his magical ability stronger and nearly broke the curse. However, the Queen again asked the priests to maintain their power on the curse and made him be an ugly guy. – Miang Xiang continued.

-I think the main reason he got here is Wu's magical book. – Mr. Hu said. – The book contains many powerful magical spells, one of which can help him break the curse forever and even makes the Queen fall in love with him.

-Does that mean he is more powerful than Hou Lei and Ms. Lei Hwa? – Tian Liang wondered.

-I am not sure about that. – Miang Xiang answered. – As the prediction of Hou Ma tribe, Hou Lei will be the most powerful in the tribe, but it did not mention how much power she will be. Lei Hwa was the wife of Hou Hun, the most powerful in the tribe that day, it seems that her power is still a question for us. She could survive through the battle with the soldiers and priests of the Emperor, I guess she is not a simple person to fight with.

-You even do not know much about Miss Lei Hwa? – Tian Liang asked. – I think your relationships with her are close.

-Yup, the palace is a special place, however, the Wu magical book is not a simple thing, it can adapt to the environment surrounding easily and hide from the pure magic of the land where the palace takes place. – Miang Xiang replied to him.

-Do you think that Hou Lei can see and open the Wu magical book? – Tian Liang asked.

-You are very smart, my Prince. – Miang Xiang continued. – But I think not only Hou Lei can, but also Tian Liam can.

-Does it mean that they will be the aim of that assassin? – Mr. Hu asked.

-Yup, and you know, I even do not know that he knows the disguise magic. He shapeshifted into Mr. Hu and wanted to make Tian Liang into his puppet. – Miang Xiang replied.

-Puppet? You mean something like hypnotizing Tian Liam got last night. – Tian Liang surprised.

-Well, it seems to be that, however, to make you become a puppet, he should use more magic and we cannot easily recognize that as the case of Tian Liam. – Miang Xiang said.

-What should we do now? Is there any way to stop him? – Mr. Hu asked.

-I had heard people in the East Land mentioning a book that could hide its words and prevent people from opening it. – Tian Liang said.

And both of you also need to be careful, he can make you become his puppet and fight with others.

-Wait a minute, Hou Lei has the book of Hou Ma tribe, can she use the information in the book to fight with the assassin? – Tian Liang asked.

-Not easy like that, the magic of the book of Hou Ma tribe is some kind of pure magic, it is not good at fighting with others, but I am not sure all about that, I also did not have a chance to read that book. – Miang Xiang replied. – The two books are mysterious for all people in the world. We do not know how much magical information they contain and how powerful the spells in there have. In the past, there were many battles happening because of those books. Er Wang was one of the guys used to have the book of Hou Ma tribe, nevertheless, he could not open the book although he captured Lei Hwa and had the unicorn jade in his hand.

-I think that Er Wang will come back for revenge. – Mr. Hu said. – I will send more soldiers to protect around the palace. I know that he is very strong, at least, the soldiers can keep him for a while in the time we prepare to fight with him.

-That is what we can do now. – Tian Liang agreed.

-Oh, I forget this. – Miang Xiang brought out a pill of medicine. – You should take this, my Second Prince, it can help you prevent the effect of some dark magic.

Tian Liang took the pill and got it to his mouth.

-You did not ask me about this pill? – Miang Xiang surprised.

-I believe in you, Miss Miang Xiang, you are the one who saved me from the rush of the soldiers in the past. – Tian Liang replied. – And now, you are Hou Lei’s friend.

-It does not seem everything you saw was the true one. – Miang Xiang said. – Okay, I need to find Lei Hwa as soon as possible, I should go.
