PART 96 – LIU HAN AND ER WANG’S NEW PLAN

-Bring it here! – Er Wang said to his servant.

The man brought some white-paper-wrapped packs and put them onto the table where Liu Han and Er Wang were sitting next to.

-What are they? – Liu Han asked.

-They are Bei Kwang Xian. – Er Wang picked one of the packs on. – A small amount can make a person suffer many kinds of pains.

-You want me to poison my father with this? No way…

-Actually, don’t need to poison your father, you only need some other bureaucrats to eat it and get its effect. And a doctor determines this kind of poison, it is a strong poison from the West Land, and your soldiers will find out a pack in Hou Lei’s room.

Er Wang stood up and walked into the behind room. He got back with another pack wrapped with yellow colored paper.

The Emperor, the Queen, Tian Liang, Tian Liam, Hou Lei, and the bureaucrats were getting their place in the party yard. They were talking much about the party for the bureaucrats who had many contributions to the government. The food was put on each table of the guests. The Emperor stood up from the high-level table and talked to the beginning of the party.

-I believe you all know the reason for this party, to praise the contribution of the long-time bureaucrats of our government, the Minister, Mr. Liu, and the Soldier General, Mr. Hu.

Everyone clapped their hands for the reason for the party.

-I want those other bureaucrats to look at the two as the go examples to work more and give more effort to our government in developing and getting larger. Let’s have a cup of wine for our winning in the near future with the good bureaucrats.

They all got the wine and shouted in happiness. Liu Han looked at Hou Lei and smiled devilishly. Hou Lei got the point that might be something wrong with the party. She smelled the food but not recognizing anything wrong. Some bureaucrats began to eat their food while some others still talked about the Minister and the General Soldier. The Minister picked up his chopsticks, but Liu Han prevented him from eating the food.

-Father, let me drink this cup of wine with you as celebrating your party!

-Okay, my daughter, that’s good. – The Minister answered.

Some bureaucrats fell down on their tables, the Queen and the Emperor looked at them.

-Call the doctors, immediately! – Tian Liang shouted at the soldiers.

-Stop eating your food! – The Emperor said to the bureaucrats.

All of them looked at the food with fear.

A moment later, some doctors came and checked the pulse and health of the bureaucrats. A doctor came to the Emperor and the Queen:

-They were poisoned, my Emperor, could I check the food?

-Okay, do whatever you want, I want to find out what is happening here! – The Emperor said.

The doctor checked the food and wine on the tables of the bureaucrats. After a while, he walked back to the Emperor:

-My Emperor, I can define that is Bei Kwang Xian.

-Bei Kwang Xian? – The Emperor surprised. – Is it a poison?

-Yup, my Emperor, a poison from West Land?

-From West Land? How can that poison be here?

-There’s only one person from West Land here, my Emperor! – Liu Han walked closer to the Emperor and opened the yellow pack from Er Wang.

Everyone looked at Hou Lei, she shook her head.

-She wouldn’t do that, Father! – Tian Liam said.

-We should check her room, maybe there’s some of the poison left in her room. – Liu Han continued.

-I didn’t do anything, Father! – Hou Lei kneed down.

-Check her room, carefully! – The Emperor said to the soldiers.

A moment later, the soldiers walked out of Hou Lei’s room and brought with them some small yellow-paper-wrapped packs.

-Give them to the doctor! – The Emperor said to the soldiers.

The doctor carried out some checks on the powder in the pack.

-This is really Bei Kwang Xian, my Emperor! – The doctor said.

-Doctor Fann, what can this poison do? – The Emperor asked.

-It can make the one who eats a small amount of it suffer many kinds of pains, from their stomach to their hands, their necks and other parts of their bodies.

-And is it harmful to their lives?

-It will be dangerous for someone who eats a large amount.

-Okay, thank you, doctor! – The Emperor turned to Hou Lei. – Do you have anything to say? The packs of poison are found in your room.

-Father, I don’t know if you believe or not, I just say that I didn’t do anything. – Hou Lei answered.

-Father, she didn’t do that! – Tian Liam said to the Emperor.

-So, prove that to me! – The Emperor yelled.
