PART 76 – THE SECOND PRINCE APPEARED

-Tian Liang, he’s back! – The Emperor stood up and walked down to the entrance.

A handsome and tall man walked into the party room. The Emperor walked to his place and hugged him. Everyone in the room looked at them surprised.

-Who is he? He’s your brother? – Hou Lei asked Tian Liam.

-Yup, he is Tian Liang, my second brother, he went to the countries around our country to learn new things about their culture and economy. – He answered.

-You’ve never told me about him.

-You didn’t ask, and I also don’t know much about him. He lives very privately, just like you, no one knows much about him, even my father.

-Well, at least he is very handsome. – She laid her head on her hands and looked at Tian Liang.

-Hey, you already have a husband and he’s my brother.

-You’re jealous? – She laughed. – Sorry, my husband, but I said the truth!

-Ah Xian! – The Queen said to her maid. – Could you ask the chefs to prepare one more meal for the prince? I don’t know he will come back today.

The maids and the sentries moved the tables in the room a bit to have a place for a new one. They set the new table between Tian Liam’s table and the Queen’s, opposite with the one of the Crown Prince. The maids brought some fruits and wine to the new table. The Emperor led Tian Liang to the new table and returned to his table on the higher ground.

-Now, let’s celebrate both happy things, my birthday and my son’s return! – The Emperor picked up his cup of wine.

The bureaucrats picked up their wine to celebrate, too. Hou Lei and the Queen did not drink wine, they used tea instead.

-Now, let’s have your meal, prepared by my daughter-in-law! – The Emperor continued.

The maids brought the trays of food into the room. Each dish was decorated very beautifully and they were all strange with the bureaucrats. The food was put on each table of the guesses, they looked at the food and smelled them. Some looked very close to the dishes as this was the first time they saw some kinds of those dishes. Tian Liam looked at Hou Lei with proud, she had done one of the best gifts ever for his father.

-Who is she? She is your wife? – Tian Liang asked Tian Liam.

-Yup, you’re too bad, don’t return to attend my wedding! – He replied.

-Well, congrats brother! She is very beautiful and these dishes were cooked by her?

-Yup, she spent almost her morning to cook them.

-You’re so lucky to have her. She’s the Princess of West Land, I can’t believe that she can cook very well like this.

-She has many other abilities. – He smiled. – You know me, brother, I can’t marry a normal lady!

-I know, I know. You two have been married for more than two years?

-Some more weeks to reach two years and three months.

-Time passed so fast before I left to go to the other countries, around you were only Liu Han, but now, you already have a good wife.

-You two can talk later, having your meal and celebrate your father’s party! – The Queen said to them.

After the party, Tian Liam and Hou Lei came back to her room. She was thinking about something, he could felt that they walked into the room and sat on the chairs.

-You’re still thinking about my brother? – He asked.

-Yup, he is very handsome! – She replied, put her hands together on the table and laid her head-on.

-I’m not handsome enough for you?

-Well, I don’t know, because I’ve not met many men in my life, you know, a Princess in a palace, and couldn’t see all the things about the large world outside.

-I can understand, but that’s not a good thing to think about, you can’t…

-I know, don’t think about another man when I already have a husband! – She laughed.

-I’m serious, this is not a joke.

-Well, I don’t have any joke here. I just admire your brother’s handsome face and don’t think of any bad things with him. You can rest your mind.

-I just… - He paused. – Just don’t know well about you, it’s scared me when knowing that someone can take you over me!

The next morning, Hou Lei got up and prepared to go to greet the Queen. Tian Liam had some works outside the palace so he left very early. On the way, before passing the royal garden, Hou Lei met Tian Liang accidentally at the big entrance.

-Ah Jiang, you can go to the Queen’s room first and wait for me. – Hou Lei said to her maid.

-Yup, my brother, I came from West Land!

-But as I know, the family name of the King of West Land was Zhang, and he has only one daughter, her name is Bei Yiu. – He looked at her suspiciously.
